FIRST OF MAY [3], THE. AKA and see "Gilderoy (2)," "Little Beggarman," "Red Haired Boy," "Red-Headed Irishman (The)." Irish, Reel. G Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is well-known to most North American fiddlers as "The Red Haired Boy."
