Back to Miss Caroline Campbell (1)
MISS CAROLINE CAMPBELL [1]. AKA and see "Miss Charlotte Campbell." Scottish, Reel. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The composition is credited to William McLeish by James Stewart-Robertson (1823-1896). McLeish was one of Stewart-Robertson's teachers, and was known as 'The Aberfeldy Paganini." The melody appears in the Kerr collections (c. 1880's) as "Miss Charlotte Campbell."
