In truth, clipped hair constituted secondary evidence of treason, and was sufficient to cause the arrest and ill treatment of any person daring enough to adopt it." Uilleann piper Patrick James Tuohey (1865 – 1923) was born in County Galway, but emigrated with his parents to the United States when just a toddler.
