BILLY BROCKER. AKA and see "Billy Bockett," "The Budgie on the Griddle," "Charlie Lennon's." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Editor Taylor reports the tune is a close relation of "The Sunny Banks," "The Jolly Clam-Diggers," and "The Dairymaid" and further remarks "the phrases in the second part are stock-in-trade for musicians on many instruments...the lack of C sharps on any main beats in our tune indicates antiquity and a suitability for the flute." See also "Old Billy Brocker's," which has a different second part.
