The title may refer to the Morayshire Farmer's Club (see Annotation:Morayshire Farmer's Club (The), as the famous Moray Club of Lossiemouth, a venerable golfing club, was not established until the end of the 1880's, postdating the tune's inclusion in the volumes of Kerr and Stewart-Robertson.
