MISS JEANNY WILLIAMSON’S REEL. AKA and see "Mortlach Reel (The).” Scottish, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Glen): AABB' (Marshall). Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833), first appearing in his 1781 collection (p. 7). Marshall was Steward of the Household for the 4th Duke and Duchess of Gordon, and dedicated this tune to one of the servants at the Gordon Castle (Cowie, The Life and Times of William Marshall, 1999).
