Mac Suibhne learned it from an old Glenswilly fiddler named Llilliam Ua Curthainn, and a notation in the book states it was popular with the older folk around Kilmacrennan [Caoimhin Mac Aoidh, 1994].

MUINEACHAN SWITCH, THE. AKA and see "Monaghan Switch (The)," Irish, Reel. Ireland, County Donegal. A Major.
