QUICK STEP 2nd BATTALION ROYALS. Scottish, March (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The Royal Scots regiment is the oldest line regiment in the British army, first raised in 1633. In the eighteenth century the second battalion of the regiment saw service at the Battle of Falkirk and the Battle of Culloden during the Jacobite rebellion of Bonnie Prince Charlie, and from the 1770's to the end of the century garrisoned Minorca in the Mediterranean, and took part in battles in Corsica and Egypt in the wars with France.
