NUBBIN RIDGE. Old-Time, Breakdown. Tennessee tune. No relation to the Ozarks tune "Nubbin." However, there are similarities to the Ozarks regional tune "Fort Smith (1)." "Nubbin Ridge" was in the repertoire of Uncle Jimmy Thompson (1848-1931) {Texas, Tennessee} and Kentucky fiddler Owen "Snake" Chapman.
