Back to Miss Jean Milligan
MISS JEAN MILLIGAN. Scottish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Winifred Bird Matthew in honor of Jean Milligan, a Scottish dance teacher and a co-founder of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) in Glasgow in the 20th century. The tune was specifically composed for the dance the Angus Reel which was dedicated to Miss Milligan in 1948 in honor of her 25 years service to the Society.
