OLD RED. Old-Time, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Both parts contain irregular measures. "Old Red" was a blues-tinged breakdown recorded by Mississippi fiddler and potato farmer Hoyt Ming with his band The Pep Steppers, whose members consisted of his family: Hoyt (fiddle), wife Rozelle (guitar) and brother Troy (mandolin).
