OLD NOLL'S HORNPIPE. English, Hornpipe (3/2 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody appears in all four editions of London publisher John Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master, first published in 1710 (with the final edition issued in 1728). It also appears in Walsh & Hare's Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (London, 1719, p. 23), reissued by son John Walsh around 1754.
