Back to Your Mother’s Fair Pet
YOUR MOTHER'S FAIR PET (Peata Geal Do Mhathar/Matar). AKA and see "Patha gal do vaher," "I'm Ready Now," "Our House at Home." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. The title is similar to "Mama's Pet." Variants include “Our House at Home” and “Mulvey’s Reel” from the County Leitrim collections of Alex Sutherland and Stephen Grier, respectively (William Mulvey was a piper who inherited the Grier collection). See also the related “Is Trua gan Peata 'n Mhaoir agam (1)” from Petrie’s collection.
