LANE'S MINUET. English, Minuet (3/4 time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune and directions for the dance were published in the various editions of John Walsh's Complete Country Dancing Master (1718, 1731, 1754). Dance instructions were also entered into the 1730 copybook of James Alexander (New York). See note for "Mr. Lane's Maggot" for information on Mr. Lane.
