GODDESSES [2], THE. Scottish, Country Dance (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. The only other appearance of the tune is in the 1780 music manuscript collection of fiddler John Fife, who was probably from Perthshire but who may also have complied his manuscript at sea (as there are references to battles in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas).
