ARUNDEL STREET. English, Country Dance Tune and Jig (6/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The melody and dance instructions were first published in Henry Playford's Dancing Master, 9th edition (1695), and was retained in all subsequent editions through the 18th and last edition of 1728 (which was, at that time, published by John Young, heir to the Playford publishing concerns). Dance and tune was also publshed by John Walsh in his Compleat Country Dancing Master (1718, and subsequent editions of 1731 and 1754).
