WAY TO NORWICH, THE. AKA and see "Hey Boys Up Go We (2)." English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune dates to the seventeenth century. It was published by John Young in a later edition of the Dancing Master (1651) as "Hey Boys, up go We." However, as this title is used twice in the Dancing Master pubications, to avoid confusion Douglas and Helen Kennedy published the dance and tune under the title "The Way to Norwich" in the Country Dance, Book new Series (1929).
