WET AND WEARY [1]. English, Jig and Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest appearance of the tune in print in Neil Stewart's 1761 collection (p. 25), however, it earlier was published in London by John Johnson in his Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 4 (1748, p. 90).
