LITTLE GIPSY. AKA - "Little Gypsy." English, Country Dance (9/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was entered into the c. 1780-1804 music manuscript collection of fiddler John Fife, who may have been from Perthshire. Portions of his manuscript may also have been written at sea; there are references to battles in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
