The CBC Program Schedule (Prairie Region) for Wednesday, Jan. 2nd, 1946, announced: "The Poppy Jig"--a brand new number by Don Messer, makes its deut on tonight's [Don Messer and His Islanders 5:00PM] program. Other numbers include "Lady Gardiner," "Texas Quickstep," "The Lamplighter's Hornpipe," with Charlie Chamberlain singing "At Mail Call Today" and "Roll Along, Prairie Moon."
