Bayard (1981) thinks the tune closely related to "Ladies dressed in their garments so green (The)" and "Dusinberry March (The);" also see "Tin Ware Lass (The)" and "Pewter Mug." The first strain is similar to that of "Fair and Forty." See also “Kingston.”
