Back to Veuves de la Coulée
VEUVES DE LA COULÉE ('Widows of the Gully' or 'Widows of the Creek'). AKA - "Veuve a Kita la Coulée." Cajun, Two-Step (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA(Vocal)BBAA(Vocal)BBAA(Vocal)BB. The song tells how, in the old days, the "widows of the coulée" would go town to by yellow cotton material to make their own bloomers.
