Sources for notated versions: fiddler Jim Rawle (Aughavas, Co. Leitrim) via the McNamara family (Carrigavoher, Aughavas, Co. Leitrim) [Treoir]. "Kennedy" [O'Neill]. Chicago police patrolman and fiddler James Kennedy had the tune from his father Peter, a celebrated local fiddler from Ballinamore, County Leitrim. O'Neill collected several tunes for his collections from both James and his sister, Ellen.
