E Minor ('A' part) & G Major ('B' part) {Raven}: A Minor ('A' part) & C Major ('B' part) {Reiner & Anick}: F Major ('A' part) & D Minor ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The first and second strains are often transposed from one version to another. Ohio fiddler John Baltzell (1860-1940) recorded the tune for Edison as "Paddy Ryan's Favorite Irish Jig." A variant of this tune is Adam's "Big Chief (The)."
