SHEPHERD BOY’S MARCH [2], THE. Scottish, Pipe March (6/8 time). A Minor (Miller): B Minor (Ross). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This pipe march, attributed to A(ngus) McSwayde, appears in the William Ross pipe collection and in David Glen’s bagpipe tutor. McSwayde (or McSwayed, as it appears on his memorial stone) was born in Kilmuir, Inverness-shire, lived from 1800-1867 and was a Pipe Major with the 78th Highlanders from 1822-1845, "and latterly of the H.R.M.
