REJECTED LOVER [2], THE (An Graduigteoir Treigre). Irish, Air (3/4 time, "very slow and plaintive"). G Major (O'Neill): E Flat Major (O'Sullivan/Bunting). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (O'Neill): AABB (O'Sullivan/Bunting). Beginning "In Innisfallen's Fairy Isle," the air was set by Stanford with words by A.P. Graves.

Source for notated version: the melody was noted by the Irish collector Edward Bunting in 1792 from Dr. William Stokes.
