CROGHAN HILL [1]. AKA and see "Castle (The)," "God Speed the Plow," "Ireland in New York," "Speed the Plow." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is in Breathnach's CRÉ II (1985) as "Speed the Plow." Paul de Grae says it has been attributed to John Moorhead of Armagh, c. 1799, although some maintain it is a Scottish tune.
