NORTHDOWN WALTZ, THE. English, Country Dance Tune (3/8 or 3/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABC. A waltz-country dance, combining both a waltz step (couple dance) with country dance figures. It is popular and frequently on the dance card at English Country Dances.
