NEW YORK HORNPIPE [1]. English, Scottish; Hornpipe. England, Northumberland. A Major (Kerr): C Major (Geoghegan). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Kerr): AABBCCDDEEFF (Geoghegan). One of the "missing tunes" from William Vickers' 1770 Northumbrian manuscript. The tune is printed by Geoghegan as a triple time hornpipe, and by Kerr as a duple time hornpipe.
