REEL À RÉMI. AKA and see “Chamberlain Reel (The),” "Gordon's Reel," “Reel de l'hôtelier.” French-Canadian, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title is one the group La Bottine Souriante used for the reel, and honors contemporary fiddler Rémi Laporte. The tune was originally recorded by Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard (1873-1947) as "Reel de l'hôtelier."
