MISS WELLWOODS FANCY. Scottish, Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDDEEFF (McGlashan). See Gow’s very similar (some say plagiarized) tune “Fallen Hero (The).” Alexander MacGlashan (d. May, 1797) was a bandleader and music teacher in Edinburgh who published several collections.
