HALEY'S FAVORITE #1 JIG. Irish, Double Jig. C Minor ('A' part) & E Flat Major ('B' part) {Carlin}: G Minor {O'Malley}. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Brooklyn accordion player John J. Kimmel recorded the tune in New York in June, 1919, for Victor Records as one of a medley called "Haley's Favorite Jigs." Accordion player Luke O'Malley noted in his collection: "Sean Maguire learned this one from me in 1959 when he stayed at my house for two weeks. I have since seen it in a collection, Sean Maguires."
