BUACHAILLÍN BÁN [1], AN (The Fair-Haired Boy). AKA and see "The Boys from Carrickroe," "The Bouchaleen Bawn," "The Fairhaired Boy [1]," "The Freheen Jig," "The Last of the Lot." Irish, Double Jig. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Breathnach): AABB (Roche). A song version of the tune from the Scottish island of Uist was recorded by the group Capercaillie. "The Dear Irish Boy," a slow air, is a distant relative.
