COUSIN SALLY BROWN [1]. Old-Time, Breakdown. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. A Galax, Va., area standard; also known in western N.C. A tune by the name of "Cousin Sally Brown (2)" was in the repertoire of fiddler Gaither Carlton (Deep Gap, N.C.) but is musically unrelated.
