HAWKS AND EAGLES. American, Reel (cut time). D Major (Brody, Silberberg): G Major (Spadaro). Standard, ADad or ADae tunings (fiddle). AABB. The source for the tune is fiddler Norman Edmonds and the Old Timers. Edmonds [1] (1889-1976) was from Hillsville, southwest Virginia. Some have noticed similarities to "Nancy Blevins."
