FANDANGO [1], THE. English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in Charles and Samuel Thompson's Complete Collection of 200 Favorite Country Dances, vol. 4, published in London in 1780. It was the only period publication of the tune.
