FLORIDA BLUES. AKA and see "Tupelo Blues." Old-Time, Bluegrass; Breakdown. USA; Missouri, Tenn. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part (Lowinger): AABB (Brody): AA'BB' (Reiner & Anick): ABAC (Beisswenger & McCann). A twelve bar structure, blues-based tune composed by Fiddlin' Arthur Smith (Tenn.) and recorded by him in 1937. Although a popular "hot fiddling" tune, Drew Beisswenger (2008) points out that it is a fairly challenging piece, and only played by the more accomplished Ozarks fiddlers.
