Tune properties and standard notation
FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN [6]. Old-Time, Breakdown. A Major. AEae tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. The tune is unique to Kentucky fiddler Isham Monday, and is not related to other "Fire on the Mountain" tunes (which Monday also played, but under the title "Sambo"). Titon (2001) notes some similarities with "Fire on the Mountain (7)."
