COONEY'S HORNPIPE (Crannciuil Uí Cuanaig). AKA and see "Friendly Visit (The)," "Smith's Hornpipe (1)," "Tamony's Hornpipe." Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See also the related "Murphy's Hornpipe (2)."

Source for notated version: fiddler James O'Neill [O'Neill]. No relation to Francis O'Neill, his namesake James was also on the Chicago police force. He was a fiddler from County Down, and a skilled transcriber with a large repertoire, making him an excellent collaborator on Francis O'Neill's first volumes.
