MRS. FIDLER’S FANCY. English Hornpipe. England, Northumberland. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Robert Whinham (1814-1893), a musician, teacher, composer, dancing master and fiddler, originally from Morpeth. See note for “Saughey Rigg” for information on the Fidler family.

Source for notated version: an unattributed 19th century manuscript in the Beamish Museum (set in the key of ‘D’), and in C. “Kit” Liddell’s late 19th century manuscript [Dixon].
