Tune properties and standard notation
GATHERIN' O' THE GUNNS, THE. Scottish, "Jig Strathspey." A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by the great Scots fiddler-composer J. Scott Skinner (1843-1927). Skinner also composed a tune called "Miss Sutherland Gunn," for a woman who lived in the area around Elgin where the Skinner family lived for many years.
