"Reel du régiment" is a wartime (1942) reissue of Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard's (1873-1947) "<incipit title="load:maton" width=850 link="https://tunearch.org/wiki/Reel de mon maton (Le)">Reel de mon maton (Le)</incipit>," originally recorded for Victor in Montreal in 1929. Don Messer and His Islanders released a version of the tune as "Mother's Reel." See note for "annotation:Reel de mon maton (Le)" for more.
