REEL DU CULTIVATEUR (Gardener's/Farmer's Reel). French-Canadian, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune was recorded in the 78 RPM era by Montreal fiddlers Joseph Allard (1873-1947) in 1929, and Joseph Ovila (J.O.) La Madeleine (1880-1973) in 1928 and again in 1932.

LaMadeleine was a left-handed fiddler and owned a music shop in Montreal. Don Messer recorded a "Farmer's Reel (1)" but it is a different tune.
