The tune is set as a jig by collector Ed Berbaum, and in Stacy Phillips' 1995 collection (noted from the playing of itinerant Pennsylvania fiddler Jehile Kirkhuff) and as a hornpipe or schottische in Ryan's Mammoth/Cole's 1000.
