There seems to be some confusion as to the origin of this Strathspey. The "Honb.le Mr. F. Gray's Strathspey" included in Robert Mackintosh's 68 New Reels (1793) is a different tune. Both tunes appear in several publications from the 18th/19th centuries. | |||
