THERE'S NAETHING LIKE THE TALISKER. Scottish, Pipe Strathspey (whole time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by wikipedia:James Scott Skinner (1843-1927), in honor of the famous Scotch whisky. The melody was actually dedicated to Roderick Kemp, part owner of the Talisker distillery on the island of Skye, according to annotations of the University of Aberdeen’s J. Scott Skinner collection. Kemp was also a judge at the Inverness competition of 1863, in which Skinner won first prize for fiddle.
