BILLY O'NEIL'S HORNPIPE. American, Hornpipe (2/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. Billy O'Neil, renowned Irish jig dancer and comedian, was born in Troy, N. Y., in 1834, and died in Melbourne, Australia, Aug. 5th, 1868.

Billy O’Neil was one of the greatest favorites at this house [Ed. i.e. Fellow’s Opera House, New York]; gifted with a fund of humor, had he taken care of himself he could have astonished many or our self-styled Irish comedians. He was capable of excelling in the highest flights of comic, serio-comic and pathetic delineations.
