GRAPE VINE TWIST HORNPIPE. American, Hornpipe (2/4 time). E Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Grape Vine Twist Hornpipe" was composed by P.B. Isaacs and first printed in blackface minstrel musician and composer George H. Coes' Coes Album of Jigs and Reels (1876). The Grape Vine Twist was a minstrel era dance or series of dance steps.

The second strain is similar to that of the "Harvest Home (1)" family of tunes.
