X:1 T:Quick Step to the 52nd Regiment M:2/4 L:1/8 R:March N:Aird printed it as "Quick Step 25th Regiment," so perhaps N:Buttery has transposed his '2' and '5' in his title? S:The Buttery Manuscript (c. 1784-1820, No. 560) N:John Buttery (1784-1854) joined the 34th Regiment in Lincoln, N:Lincolnshire, England, in 1797 and served as a fifer until discharged in N:1814. His large ms. contains marches, duty calls, dance tunes and airs. N:EASMES identifies this as the Fife MS. and suggests a date of 1780, see N: https://www.cdss.org/elibrary/Easmes/Index.htm Z:AK/Fiddler’s Companion K:G gddc|B/c/d/B/ GD|GB A/B/c/A/|BGGd|ecce|dBBd|gdcB|B2A2:| |:FA Ad/c/|BG G2|Bdd=f|e/d/c/B/ c2|eaag|g/f/e/d/ gc|BA/G/ AD|GG G2:|]
