HUNT THE SQUIRREL [2]. AKA - "Hunting the Squirrel." English, Morris Dance Tune (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (x4), AA. The tune was collected in the village of Headington, Oxfordshire, in England's Cotswolds. Versions #2, 3 and 4 are similar in some respects, different in others, but all retain the flavor of the original melody. "Hunt the Squirrel (1)" is perhaps the most distinct.
